It not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed her goals for the future. The 22-year-old earned a degree from the Julliard School in New York. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to win the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by the critics. The following year, in 2007, she was a cast member in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended play.
